The serenity of Lake Macquarie is one of the main reasons people are drawn to the Rafferty’s Resort.  On a winter’s day the water will be grey however on a perfect summer’s day the water is a beautiful cool blue.  The main colour for this scheme is a beautiful blue that contains more green than red.  The colour is strong and happy, reminiscent of long summer days during the holidays.  Offset by contemporary white balustrades and trim, this palette offers the perfect lakeside scheme.  A lighter blue can be used on the front door and weatherboard elements and a smart dark grey for the deck complements the scheme well.  The predominant colour in this scheme is very uplifting and would work particularly well in shaded areas to maintain the happy holiday feel of the resort.  Terraced units would also benefit from this colour, particularly those that have more balustrades and trim as the white offsets the stronger colour perfectly.

Should you desire a more contemporary look for your home then new horizontal style screens could replace the lattice work and be painted in white.  If the existing latticework is to remain then it should be painted in the same smart dark grey as the deck.
